Where wall tile changes a room
A well-chosen wall tile is the fastest way to make a room look custom-designed without a full remodel. Most projects finish in 2-3 days.

How we install wall tile right
We start by checking the wall for plumb and flat - a 1/8" bow over 4 feet means tile will telegraph the wave. We add backer board or skim-coat as needed, then dry-lay the pattern to confirm cuts land in symmetrical places (centered over the range, balanced at corners). A glass or stone mosaic accent band is a popular add-on if you want a little more detail.
Showers get a full waterproofing membrane behind the tile, niches are framed and waterproofed before tile goes up, and every cut at an outlet or fixture is hand-trimmed to fit snugly behind the cover plate. We finish with sealed grout (or epoxy on showers) and a final wipe-down - the kind of attention to detail you can read more about on our about us page.
Answers
Most kitchen backsplashes run $1,200 to $2,800 installed, depending on tile selection and square footage. We provide a flat, all-in quote during the in-home estimate.
Yes - every shower we install includes a full Schluter Kerdi or RedGard waterproofing system behind the tile, properly sloped pre-pitch, and a sealed pan. We don't install shower tile without it.
For dry-area backsplashes (away from sinks), yes. For shower surrounds and wet walls, we always strip the drywall and install cement backer board or a foam tile-backer system.
We bring grout samples to the in-home estimate and let you pick the color before installation day, along with porcelain tile samples if you're deciding on the field tile at the same time. Most homes choose a tone-on-tone grout that fades the lines, but contrast grout is back in style for subway tile.
